Painting time: ~20hrs.
I painted this mini using metallics. Shading was done using glazes, similar to methods mentioned by Sebastian. I tried to do zenithal highlights, but I think the results could be improved.
The base was made using Super Sculpey. The main shape was firstly cut out of a single piece of sculpey. After baking, and waiting for it to cool, the brickwork and recessed areas were then carved out using dental tools. The basework was inspired by David Ayral's (anakron) many base construction methods using sculpey. The colours of the brickwork were inpsired by FW Remy's cadwallon militiamen.
This is my second completed Rackham mini, and I really enjoy their style of sculpts and painting.
