Kaya the Wildborne

Painting time: 17hrs 30min.

This was a commission mini and my first try at bronze NMM. The NMM was VGC dark fleshtone, then drybrushed VMC beige brown, then highlighted with VMC brown sand, with further highlights with white added to brown sand.

The front shots of the mini were very tricky to capture and I had problems with getting a crisp focus as the staff is further in front of the mini than the body.

The bits of rock are carved up plaster. Kaya is a spell caster, and the warpack she belongs to is described in the Privateer Press literature to be "Blackclad druids".

The recesses of her cloak has a dark green tinge which as showed up on some shots. Her hair colour (VMC german cam pale brown) is different from the other browns but looks similar in the pics.

I enjoyed painting the face as the sculpt had nice big lovely eyes.
